February 28, 2019 – Another year, another incredible achievement by the Break Time team as they open their fifth shop in Croatia.
Croatia’s favorite nautical jewelry brand Break Time is back with yet another stellar start to the year. Namely, on March 1, 2019, Break Time will open their FIFTH shop in Croatia, in the very center of the Croatian capital. You can find them located on Ilica 14 (Lovacki rog / Hotel Jagerhorn Passage) in Zagreb.
This is the fifth Break Time store in Croatia after they ruled the Adriatic Coast with their brand in Split (Trogirska 8 & Zadarska 1), Dubrovnik (Antuninska 5) and Rovinj (Arsenale 10).
TCN caught up with half of the brains behind Break Time, Mirela Rus, ahead of opening day.
Store number… five?! How do you feel?
I feel anxious and excited, at the same time, taking care of last minute details for the opening, where we have invited media, but also our most loyal online customers from the Zagreb region, who were constantly asking us when we will have a shop in Zagreb. The Romanian Ambassador in Croatia, Constantin-Mihail Grigorie, and the economic attache of the embassy, Annabella Kiss, have confirmed they will attend our opening event!
What can we expect from the Zagreb store?
We will showcase all our collections, so that means that we are fairly confident that anyone (men, women, or children) visiting us on Ilica 14 (inside the courtyard of the oldest hotel in Zagreb, Jagerhorn Hotel) will be able to find something to love among our over 250 models and color combinations. For themselves, for a gift or as an original souvenir from their trip to Zagreb.
There will also be the option to order a special model, size or custom engraved bracelet in the shop and have it either delivered to your home or picked up from the store in just a few days.
And speaking of engraving options, if you choose to engrave a marine animal (dolphin, sea turtle, shark, devil ray or whale) on your Break Time bracelet, we will donate the engraving price to the Blue World Institute, as part of our #SaveMarineLife campaign.
You’ve managed to open shops in Zagreb, Rovinj, and added a second location in Split all in a year. An incredible achievement. What’s next?
To be honest, I think surreal is the first word that comes to my mind. I cannot believe we have grown so much in such a short time. I think for 2019 we will stop here in terms of new shops (it is true, we have said this before).
We will concentrate next on our new collections (we have some new very cool designs we are working on) and we will also focus on better keeping up with the growing demand for reselling our products not only in Croatia, but in different parts of the world, from Germany to Australia, France to Bahrain.
Since the success of our brand is owed significantly to the high-quality, durability and attention to detail that our designer and my partner, Leonard Copoiu, has put into each and every piece of nautical jewelry that leaves our stores, in the previous years, we only worked with very few selected partners. We do not want to lose that and Leonard is still handcrafting all of our nautical bracelets himself. But this winter, we were better organized and used the experience gathered in the past three years to better estimate our production needs, so we are ready to expand our reseller network a bit more. However, we will continue to be very selective in choosing our partners.
A message to your fans in Zagreb?
First of all, we are really grateful for all the support and messages of congratulations we have received from our Zagreb fans. It was (and it is) really moving, and we are looking forward to putting a face to some of the names this Friday (March 1st), on our official opening day.
To celebrate, we will have a 20% discount on absolutely all of our nautical bracelets on March 1st!
Also, the first ten customers will receive a free gift from us, and the first 50 customers will get a VIP card that will entitle them to a 20% permanent discount in all our brand stores in Croatia and also at our online shop www.nautical-bracelets.com.
And if these are not good enough reasons to visit Ilica 14 on March 1st, there is more: we brought our laser engraving machine with us to the shop (we are actually installing it as we speak, to get it ready for Friday) and that means our customerswill get the chance to make their new Break Time bracelet truly one-of-a-kind, by adding a custom engraved message. I almost forgot to mention the most important part: the personalized engraving service will be free on opening day!
Break Time is a Croatian brand established in 2015 by Mirela Rus and Leonard Copoiu, two Romanian entrepreneurs that have chosen the sunny coastal city of Split as their home. Inspired by the Adriatic Sea, all the Break Time jewelry pieces are handmade by Leonard, and the use of high-quality materials, attention to detail and constant development of new collections are the ingredients that have made the brand so successful in less than four years.
The Ilica 14 shop in Zagreb will be open Monday to Friday from 10.30 – 19.00 and on Saturdays from 10.30 – 15.00 (Sundays and legal holidays closed).
Congrats to the Break Time team for another victory in the Croatian jewelry world!
