Namely, Break Time has teamed up with the Blue World Institute of Marine Research and Conservation (BWI), an organization that aims to protect the marine environment in the Adriatic Sea. Through three programs – research, education, and conservation – the Institute focuses their research primarily on large marine vertebrates such as dolphins and sperm whales, sea turtles, sharks, and giant devil rays. You can find the Blue World Institute on the islands of Lošinj, Murter, and Vis, and follow them as they lead sustainable marine management and environmental sustainability in the Mediterranean Basin.

Here’s how you can help.
In an effort to protect the marine life in the Adriatic Sea, Break Time will donate proceeds to the Blue World Institute for shoppers who choose a marine animal engraving.
“When you order a Sailor, Trogir, Istria, Adriatica or Dubrovnik bracelet from our online shop, you can choose to engrave one of the marine animals Blue World is working with: dolphin, sperm whale, sea turtle, shark or giant devil ray and we will donate 100% of the engraving price (minus the VAT) to the Blue World Institute,” writes Break Time on their website.

“If you are ordering a boat bracelet from our Sailor Collection, let’s say you choose to engrave a dolphin on the left sail of the boat and a sea turtle on the right sail (of course, you can also choose to engrave only on one sail). The engraving price is 3,5 euros for each sail, which means a total of 7 euros. From your order, 1,4 euros represent the VAT (which goes to the Croatian government) and 5,6 euros will go as a donation towards the Blue World Institute.”
“If you are ordering a shackle bracelet from our Trogir, Istria, Adriatica or Dubrovnik Collection, you can choose (on the product page) to engrave any of the marine animals mentioned above (dolphin, whale, turtle, shark or giant devil ray). The engraving price is 7 euros and from this sum, 5,6 euros will go as a donation towards the Blue World Institute (the difference of 1,4 euros is the VAT).”
