Croatian Jacques Houdek has advanced to the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest!
Last night in Kiev, the second semifinal evening of the 62nd edition of Eurovision Song Contest was held. Eighteen countries competed for a spot in the finals, which will now host Croatia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Hungary, Denmark, Israel, Romania, Norway, the Netherlands and Austria.
Croatian representative Houdek performed 11th in the evening with the song ”MyFriend”, showing the grandeur of his vocals which thrilled the audience and ultimately scored Croatia a place in the finals.

Houdek was overcome with joy when the Eurosong leaders read off Croatia’s name in the list of lucky victors, and later thanked his friends through a series of Tweets and Facebook videos.

Votes for the Eurovision Song Contest are cast by phone, SMS, and the Eurosong application. 10 contestants now enter the grand finale which will take place on Saturday in Kiev.
