The number of boats that can be rented in Croatia via the Click&Boat platform has tripled since the end of last season.
At the digital platform of the French startup for boat rental Click&Boat, Croatia is currently second behind France with regards to the increase in demand this year, and the number of boats from Croatia offered on the platform has tripled since the end of last season, to nearly a thousand, reports Poslovni.hr on March 26, 2017.
Noting that Click&Boat is an international digital platform for boat rental which operates the whole year, its manager for Croatia Dubravka Puljak said that they spend the winter months preparing for the tourist season, improving the platform from a technical point of view, getting feedback from clients, and opening new markets.
The number of boats that can be rented in Croatia through the Click&Boat platform is growing day by day. “These thousand boats represent about 10 percent of the total number of available boats on the platform. So far, more than 10,000 people sailed in the Croatian Adriatic through the Click&Boat platform, and we anticipate that the number will increase tenfold in the next two years”, said Puljak.
She pointed out that such predictions were based on the growing popularity of Croatia as a destination for charter of boats, as evidenced by the fact that on the platform Croatia is the second most-sought after destination, after France. She adds that the most popular type of vessels for rent on the Croatian coast were sailing ships, and not just in the high summer tourist season, but practically all year round, with the most frequent customers coming to Croatia from Germany, France and Great Britain.
“Although there are several other similar companies that deal with boat rentals in the global markets, we believe in the good reputation of Click&Boat among our members and the good visibility on the internet, which is demonstrated by the number of members, realized bookings, and visitors to the site”, said Puljak.
“Every year, we record growth of our business. Although we started in Croatia about a year ago, we are satisfied with the response of boat owners and users, as well as their high marks for boats rented in Croatia”, concluded Puljak.
