The Tourist Board of Koprivnica-Križevci County has traditionally organized ‘Pisanica od srca’, or ‘Easter egg from the heart’.
A famous Easter project by the Tourist Board of Koprivnica-Križevci County, ‘Pisanica od srca’ is an Easter exhibition where large eggs are painted in the style of naive art. The Easter eggs are made of polyester and are 2.05 meters tall and 1.50 meters wide, reports HRTurizam on April 15, 2017.
Thanks to the cooperation with the Croatian National Tourist Board, these famous Easter eggs have spread the joy of the holiday throughout the squares, galleries and exhibition spaces of Rome and Vatican City, New York, Milan, Ferrara, Klagenfurt, Budapest, Brussels, Prague, Graz, Salzburg, Vienna, Munich, Bogdanci, Balatonboglar, Nikšić, Riverside, Pécs, Paris, Riga, Kotor, Medjugorje, Subotica, Zagreb, Varaždin, Dubrovnik, Vukovar, Marseille, Unterpullendorf, Tomislav-cGrad, Orebić, Constanza, and Koprivnica.
This year, the Easter eggs are posing proudly in the cities of Olomouc, Berlin, and Lendava.
In the Czech city of Olomouc, the egg was set on the main square Horni, right in front of the town hall and monument to the Holy Trinity which was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage. The egg was painted by members of the Molve painter’s circle including Martin and Stjepan Đukin, Vladimir Ivančan, Dragutin Kovačić and Drago Žufika.

In the Slovenian city of Lendava, the egg was set in front of the Vinarium Lendava tower. The egg was painted by members of the Molve painter’s circle including Martin and Stjepan Đukin, Vladimir Ivančan, Dragutin Kovačić and Drago Žufika.

The egg in Berlin was set up at the Berlin Zoo, which is the oldest zoo in Germany. The egg will adorn the entrance to the zoo through the end of April this year before it is moved to a suitable exhibition. The egg was painted by Josip Gregurić, Đuro Jaković, Stjepan Pongrac and Zlatko Štrfiček.
