June 10, 2018 – He brought a 15-year-old Jodie Foster to Hvar and was the only Western-accredited journalist to photograph Brezhnev’s body lying in state back in 1982. And it seems Split’s most famous paparazzi has one or two more photos to share.
A week away from the office on the Nikola Tesla EV Rally has meant that I have missed quite a few stories I had planned to cover.
Among them the legendary paparazzi Jadran Lazic, who divides his time between LA and growing lavender on his beloved island of Hvar. Jadran has had a long and illustrious career snapping the rich and famous, and he is quite a raconteur with stories of his escapades over the years. But he didn’t tell me he still had one or two photos to share… From the official press release:
Hollywood, CA, USA – June 7, 2018: An inspiring Rock Photography Show is taking place in Hollywood, California on Saturday, June 9th 2018 and it will reveal the never before published David Bowie photos. These photos of the legendary David Bowie have never been seen before, or been made public in America, and that is exactly why this upcoming show is creating a major buzz online. Moreover, the event is titled ‘Unfiltered’ and it will take place at Goodform Salon located at 725 North Fairfax Avenue in Hollywood, California.
Other photographers will be showcasing never before published photos including the likes of industry legends and superstars such as Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, Jonny Depp, Bob Marley, Paul McCartney to name a few. Other artists included in this event are Suzanne Allison Witkin, Derrick Green, Dean Karr and Arthur Gorson. A portion of the proceeds raised from this inspiring event will go to The Gentle Barn animal sanctuary.
Jadran Lazic is the main photographer at this event and his work is the most anticipated one, when it comes to David Bowie. The legendary photographer began his career back in 1969 for VJESNIK Publications and he has never looked back since. This was the largest publishing house in his native Yugoslavia, from where he moved to Paris in 1974 and joined SIPA Press. Jadran is undoubtedly an internationally recognized photographer and his art has been published in more than 52 countries worldwide, which is truly remarkable. Furthermore, the artist has been settled in Los Angeles, California since 1988 and for the past three decades, his work is fueling the cinema photographic art of Hollywood.
