The product design studio from Zagreb placed among seven candidates shortlisted for the WIN award
The -Love, Ana. design studio has been shortlisted for the WIN Awards 2017, in the category of the Emerging Product Designer of the Year. Based in Zagreb, -Love, Ana. is ran by Ana Tevšić Nauković, a Croatian product designer and the creative mind behind all the products featured in the studio, crafted by local manufacturers.
It’s best to let them speak for themselves: “Products that the studio offers are designed by Ana Tevšić Nauković with great care and meticulous attention to detail and, most importantly, love. They are handmade and appear in small series. Studio focuses primarily on the functionality of the product and leaving its form clean and simple. Our wood has no other finishing but a coat of natural linseed oil. This not only makes the products eco-friendly but it also promotes a deeper level of interaction between an item and its user. As the users care for their items by giving them an occasional coating of oil they develop a more meaningful relationship with them.
Studio’s work has been recognized internationally as much as in our native country. Several products were listed as Best Buy, Best New Products or Best of Wood by magazines such as Elle Decoration, IDFX, Damn and Absolute. Our studio was the Bronze winner at the 2013 International Design Awards in the Professional / Office Category for Interior Design”, states their official website.
The international WIN Awards are granted by the World Interiors News in multiple categories divided in four themed groups: interiors + design, interior projects, interior practice and interior products. The category that -Love, Ana. has been shortlisted for, Emerging Product Designer of the Year, is open to all product designers, interior design and architecture practices that have been in business for less than five years.
