The second edition of the festival will open on 25 July.
From 25 to 29 July, the second edition of the Zagreb Crossover Festival will be held at the Ribnjak park in Zagreb, in cooperation with the Zagreb Tourist Board. It is a special event which is primarily an international music festival but combines different music genres, cultures and languages.
In addition to the best Croatian jazz bands, Ribnjak will welcome acts from the Netherlands, Italy, Kosovo, and Serbia. The performances will start daily at 5 pm. And the greatest stars of the festival will perform on 27 July. They are Smoove&Turell from Great Britain, a DJ duo known for the hits ‘Hard Work’, ‘Slow Down’ and ‘I’m a Man’.
“After last year’s successful festival, this year we will go further and bring even better performers. Last year, the festival drew more than 5,000 visitors, and we believe that this year we will double the number,” said the festival’s music editor Marin Levaj at a press conference held at the nearby Kaptol Centre.
This year, the festival will bring together some ten performers: among others, the Gipsy Groov Roma band from Kosovo, Eargounats from the Netherlands, local acts Jam Bucket and Mimika Orchestra, and Techno Viking.
“Ribnjak is one of the most beautiful parks in Zagreb, and we have tried to give it an extra touch with the festival scenery. The park itself is the best backdrop, and our team will use colourful festival details, combined with lighting, to highlight its centuries-old trees,” said Slavica Olujić Klapčić from the Katapult Event agency, which organises the Crossover Festival, thankful for the support received from the Zagreb Tourist Board.

“Co-operation with the Crossover Festival is a logical combination of a truly beautiful boutique festival which last year delighted all of us in this neighbourhood and the most beautiful boutique cinema in this part of Europe which, in addition to films, also supports numerous events at the WOW Bar. In more than a year since the opening of the cinema, we have organised with our partners a number of concerts and film festivals. We are very happy to be joining forces with the Crossover Festival since we will be the venue for the official after-parties. The new features of this year’s festival are after-parties, which will be held on Friday and Saturday, July 27 and 28, at the Kaptol Boutique Cinema, with the well-known DJ Ozren Kanceljak,” said Maja Valjak Nagy, the programme manager of the Kaptol Boutique Cinema & Bar.
In addition to the excellent music, the visitors will be able to enjoy a rich culinary offer. Entry to the festival is free of charge.
