May 8, 2024 – Strange are the ways of the dessert. Marin Medak, the RougeMarin head chef, was so delighted by the song Rim Tim Tagi Dim that he created a new dessert that irresistibly resembles the song in all its flavours.
At first glance, a very incompatible and unusual combination of strawberries, cocoa chips, gingerbread, salted caramel, sweet cream and a world of salty flavours paired with the specific taste of milk chocolate combined into an irresistible treat, which is already receiving its first praises.
“The inspiration for creating this dessert is definitely the contrast which runs through the entire song, and also “permeates” the flavors of my new dessert Rim Tim. Strawberries represent the countryside and milk chocolate represents the city. The symbol of Lasagna’s cow is whipped cream, and there are also some unusual, eclectic flavours, which are not often found in sweet desserts, like pepper and salt. I wanted to translate the contrast in the song, which is very strong, into the same, contrasting flavours”, explains Medak the ingredients, gingerbread and salt on the caramel, which signifies the Croatian sea, and the flavours of bitter cocoa chips paired with the sweet whipped cream.
“And the aftertaste is milk chocolate with the delicate sweetness of strawberries – genius flavours for a genius song!”, concluded Medak and promised that, if Marko wins, he will keep the dessert on offer forever.
