”E-Parking” Has Arrived in Dubrovnik: Here is What New SANITAT App Offers

Lauren Simmonds

A new parking option for the Pearl of the Adriatic.

It’s an age old tale for most of us who live in Dubrovnik. You can’t park, and I mean that literally. A taxi, a lost and confused tourist in a hire car or a minivan has taken the only space for miles around, and you’re left feeling betrayed by the car-park Gods. So you go home, and of course, there is no parking on your street either, because the neighbour has her few million grandchildren over and that inevitably takes up 3+ parking spaces. It sounds a little OTT but in the blistering heat of summer, or the freezing winds of winter, it’s enough to send you a bit crazy.

Has salvation finally arrived? As of March 23, 2016, the company SANITAT DUBROVNIK is giving citizens the option to extend a privileged parking ticket with a new app that goes by the name of ‘e-Parking’ which can be accessed via SANITAT’s website.

In addition to the extension of preferential parking tickets, the ‘e-Parking’ app enables several hours of payment orders, and the purchase of hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly parking cards.

Is there hope for those of us who leave the house continuously tormented by the ”where the hell am I going to leave the car” question? Fingers crossed.
