Eko Taxi has decided to give its contribution and provide assistance to children suffering from malignant diseases. In the last week of September, which is dedicated to raising awareness about malignant illnesses among children, the company will provide free transportation to all the members of the Krijesnica association in the Zagreb area, reports Večernji List on September 24, 2018.
Hundreds of thousands of people suffer from malignant illnesses, and the latest official statistics show that every other day one child in Croatia is diagnosed with such a disease. The process of treatment itself is very complex, long-lasting and with an uncertain outcome, affecting the whole family.
“It is very important to provide children with a safe and fast transportation to hospitals, in order to minimize exposure to possible infections and protect the weak immunity which often accompanies the treatment. That is why Eko Taxi has decided to establish cooperation and provide transportation services to members of the Krijesnica association,” said Eko Taxi CEO Mislav Munivrana.
In addition to the time-limited charity action, Eko Taxi has also concluded a permanent co-operation with the association, and all members will receive a 10% discount on its services throughout the year.
“The co-operation with Eko Taxis has shown itself over the years to be highly sought-after and appreciated by parents of children who are in the process of being treated, because it gives them an opportunity to devote their time to their children and stay with them on their way from their homes to the hospitals and vice versa,” said Dragan Cvitić, an associate with the Krijesnica association.
In this way, the company will provide help and support to ill children, while at the same time raise awareness in the society about malignant diseases, which are part of lives of many families in Croatia.
