A new EU co-financed addition for Koprivnica.
The family fun/entertainment centre, co-financed by the European Union, would contribute to Koprivnica’s economic development.
As Poslovni Dnevnik/Ana Maria Filipovic Grcic writes on the 19th of March, 2018, as part of the Amusement Tourism Development Strategy II (ATDS II) project implemented as part of the INTERREG V-A program and the Hungary-Croatia Cooperation Program, the otherwise somewhat overlooked Koprivnica now has 821,000 kuna for the construction of a family fun centre available to it.
In its description, the new city facility states that it will be unique to this part of Europe, and the plans are to further contribute to the more dynamic economic development of the city, based on innovative tourist products, as was explained by Senior Public Relations and Information Officer for Koprivnica, Ivana Ledinski Cvetkovic.
“An investor is being sought for the realisation of the family fun centre, while the potential location of the construction of the campus area will be focused on education, entertainment and relaxation with the possibility of PD exhibitions, performances and other educational events related to the defined theme of food. Funding sources for the centre will depend solely on the investor,” added Cvetkovic.
As has been explained by the Koprivnica City Administration, the base for the establishment for further development of both tourism and the economy in cross-border cooperation, as well as the development of project documentation for the development of tourist-based infrastructure, is underway. The total value of ATDS II amounts to 1,553 million kuna, the main beneficiary of which being the City of Koprivnica, while the implementation period for the project is set to be announced in mid-June this year.
