91 feature and short films from all over the world coming to Split cinemas
More than 6000 submissions out of which 91 movie both feature and short was selected for the main programme, movies from 29 countries, one special selection, Educational cinema for kids and teens, workshops and lectures all concentrating on this year’s main subject – The Year of the Light…These are just some of the characteristics of the 20th Split Film Festival, oldest international film festival in Croatia.
Split Film Festival will take place from September 12th until September 19th and it is important to note that almost all entries will be shown for the first time not only in Croatia but also in the region. Projections will be held in three different locations – cinemas Karaman and Central and cinematique Zlatna Vrata.
All selected titles, innovative and subversive statements come from all corners of the world starting with Croatia and the region all the way to the most remote towns of Australia, Africa and South America.
Jorge Forero’s feature debut “Violencia” shown during this year’s Berlinale will kick-off the programme of this year’s edition of SFF, complete schedule can be found HERE
