Zagreb will soon have its first café where you’ll be able to enjoy cuddling with cats and great coffee!
As Zagreb Info reports on September 15, 2017, Zagreb will soon open its first cat café!
Cat Caffe, as its name suggests, is a place where humans can drink their coffee while spending some quality time with cats. The place is conceived as a unique concept that offers a safe space and an enjoyable experience for both humans and felines. There you’ll be able to choose a cat to sit on your lap while you’re sipping your hot brewed coffee. The cats will live in the cafe, free of cages and spoiled by you and the staff, and you will be able to pet them (or get ignored by them) whenever you come by.
According to scientists, petting cats can calm people down and lower their heart rate, so stopping by for coffee and a cuddle might prove beneficial even for your health! This interesting and popular concept started in Asia and has expanded to global phenomenon with cat cafés popping up all around world, including the US and Europe, and now Croatia.
The café’s Facebook page states that it will be opened sometime in October at Kušlanova 6 and that the cats will mainly be from the local shelters.
