December 17, 2018 – Gypsy Table is coming back to Zagreb on Friday, January 4th, 2019!
Pop-up dinners are one-time food events offering guests a taste of something different. These events cater to the “Experiential Diner”, one who craves not just an amazing meal, but a new and exciting dining experience. Whether it’s an unexpected location, a personal interaction with the chef, or a unique menu or theme, pop-up dinners serve up something no ordinary restaurant can deliver.
The Gypsy Table is Europe’s premier roaming pop-up dinner series that brings together top culinary talent and prepares the best locally-sourced products available, all served up in the most beautiful and unique locations. Gypsy Table is coming back to Zagreb on Friday, January 4th, 2019, at a secret location which will be revealed prior to the dinner, and the organizers claim that this time the theme is one that is near and dear to their hearts.
“Unfortunately, sexism and chauvinism are still running pretty rampant in Croatia and we don’t feel women are getting nearly enough respect for their efforts, especially in the food and beverage world. Is it for that very reason that we wanted to put together a dinner featuring the best female talent from every industry connected to ‘gastrotainment’ together to showcase the amazing skills that they possess. We celebrate “Women Power” and strive to encourage and celebrate women’s empowerment, independence and confidence. So far, we have commitments from some of the best women in their respected areas and fields. We are calling the next edition the Forces of Nature Gypsy Table event that will offer the experience of an all-inclusive feast of food, wine, cocktails, beer, music, art and more. It is special because it will be an all-female event showcasing some of the top Croatian female talents as they unleash the forces of nature in a fury of flavours, sights and sounds. This will be a truly magical night, one not to be missed.
So, picture this…you arrive at our secret location and are welcomed with a drink by a roaring fire, only to enter our sanctuary for the night to encounter our Mistress of Ceremony – Ines Tričković – guiding you to enjoy a night full of food, drink, music, art and more. You will encounter famed illustrator Maja Beus who will be drawing portraits of guests and then nibble and nosh on an assortment of edible delights by many female owned and operated establishments and sample craft beer. After dinner, there will be music by our DJ for guests to enjoy tunes in the event space, so we welcome all to stay longer and enjoy the spirit of the night.
