The concert was held at the Roman basilica in Varaždinske Toplice.
The concert of the most innovative Croatian harpist Doris Karamatić and her guests – gifted singers Nina Kraljić and Dražen Bratulić, at the unique archaeological site of the Roman basilica in Varaždinske Toplice – created a magical moment of imagination and returned the audience to the times of former builders of the ancient Aqua Iassa spa, reports Hia on June 4, 2018.
The concert was held on the first day of this year’s Aquafest, which took place on 1 and 2 June, with the support of Bernarda Cecelja, the owner of the Bernarda Krevetni Sustavi company, who is building, together with her son Boris, the first privately-owned hotel complex in Varaždinske Toplice. In recent days, right next to her Bernarda boutique hotel, an excellent restaurant that will offer dishes from the Roman times on the menu was opened.
In her signature relax manner, the charismatic Doris Karamatić introduced the enthusiastic audience to a series of interesting covers of songs – from classical music pieces to evergreens, jazz, rock and French chansons. She is known for not seeing the harp just as a classical instrument of angelic sound, but also as an instrument that can give even to contemporary music that special something which inspires, lifts us and fills the souls and hearts of fans of all forms of music. And the audience responded with abundant applause and gratefulness.
On this occasion, Doris once again filled the souls and hearts of the audience of Aquafest. Her energy and positivity left the Aquafest audience in a cathartic mood for a long time after the concert ended.
In addition to the audiences, she is highly respected by her fellow musicians as well. This is why she is often a favourite guest at the performances of eminent musicians of popular music in Croatia, such as Ivan Kapec, Matija Dedić, Joe Pandur, Maja Grgić, Psihomodo pop, Bambi Molesters, Belfast Food, Maxim Mrvica, Marko Tolja, Renata Sabljak, Nina Kraljić, Ivana Marić, Marko Tolja, Saša Lozar…
