Congrats to Total Croatia News collaborators Mario Romulić and Dražen Stojčić
Croatia’s entry for Eurovision 2016 song contest caused quite a stir with the fact that it was written by an Austrian duo and not a Croatian author, but regardless of the “scandal”, Nina Kraljić and her team are preparing for Stockholm and the competition full speed ahead. On March 21, 2016 official promo video for the song “Lighthouse” was presented to the public and we were delighted to see that Croatian Radio Television selected the hugely successful “Into the Storm” time-lapse created by our very own Total Croatia News collaborators Romulić and Stojčić.
As Total Croatia News reported back in February when “Into the Storm” was first released, entire time-lapse took two years to make. During the two-year period, Romulić and Stojčić were lucky enough to capture some spectacular thunderstorms in slow motion and time lapse techniques. They shot over 350,000 thousand photographs, picking “only” 10,000 best frames for this film. The filming took place on the island Hvar itself, but also from mountain Biokovo and nearby island Brač.
“I was contacted by HRT and asked if they could use the timelapse as the promo video for Croatia’s Eurovision song entry Lighthouse by Nina Kraljić since they though it fits the lyrics and music perfectly” said Mario Romulić. We definitely share HRT’s opinion and it looks like the audience does too since the song had almost 20 000 views in under three hours.
