Later today, the body of the late Croatian singer will be brought to the island of Korčula.

The body of the popular Croatian singer Oliver Dragojević, who died on Sunday in Split, will be brought to the island of Korčula today where he will be buried. The solemn ceremony will begin at 6.50 pm in Split, where his coffin will be taken, accompanied by songs and prayers, across the Split waterfront to the St. Nicholas pier. At 7.50 pm, the Jadrolinija catamaran provided by the Croatian government will set sail towards Vela Luka on the island of Korčula, together with ships representing the Split Port Authority, the Ministry of the Interior and the Croatian Navy. Šolta will bid farewell to Oliver at 8 pm at the Livka Bay point. Departure is scheduled by cars from Grohote at 7 pm.

The arrival of the catamaran in Vela Luka is expected between 9 and 10.30 pm. The people of Vela Luka will meet the catamaran with their boats near the St. Nicholas chapel, and then escort it to the waterfront. People are asked not to bring torches, but to use only the mandatory lights on the boats, and light the candles if they wish. The catamaran will be welcomed in respectful silence.
