May 1, 2019 – For the sixth year in a row, the already beautiful Martinis Marchi hotel was enhanced by a magical atmosphere, top quality wines, gastronomy, and the many emotions of visitors and associates at the “Wine & Friends” tasting and gala event.
In the stunning setting of a exclusive estate on the Adriatic, the Martinis Marchi Heritage Hotel, Marina and Restaurant located in Maslinica on the west coast of the island of Šolta, “Wine & Friends” was held for the sixth consecutive year – a culinary event where guests enjoy Croatia’s gastronomic delicacies, wines and the beauty of untouched nature on the island of Šolta.
Martinis Marchi is unique to the Adriatic as it transports guests into a different, somewhat forgotten world of harmony, peace and luxury as they arrive. Martinis Marchi is formed of a stunning 300-year-old heritage castle which has been converted into a luxury boutique hotel of 7 spacious apartments, each boasting an authentic experience. The property includes an outdoor Mediterranean restaurant overlooking the sea, and the marina was proclaimed the best small marina in Croatia this year.
The strength of this concept is also seen by the respectable list of partners who personally participated in the sixth edition of this event. Namely, the “Wine & Friends” gala event was made possible by Korta Katarina, Krauthaker, Kozlović and Kalebic, and foreign wineries Fumanelli, Château les Crostes and Schunck winery. The day also began with a special welcome drink in the marina of G. H. Mumm champagne.
The afternoon hours featured a presentation of wine in the cellar of the 300-year-old castle, followed by a short trip around the island to see the vineyards, olive oil, and honey.
An exclusive seven-course dinner completed the event, conceived in a way that every dish was crafted by a chef from a different hotel in the Stories group – an association of unique luxury hotels in Croatia, which encompasses carefully selected hotels that inspire with legacy, heritage and warm hospitality on the Croatian Adriatic. This year, with the team led by Toni Miloš, were the chefs of Pucić Palace Hotel, Meneghetti Wine Hotel & Winery, San Rocco, Bastion Zadar Hotel and the Adriatic Hotel in Rovinj.
“We desire to create unique and authentic experiences, experiences that blend the beauty of life, enjoying the moment and the intact nature that surrounds us. This desire gave birth to an idea for such an event that all the lovers of our somewhat hedonistic Mediterranean life enjoy, no matter where in the world they are from. Just as our guests of the heritage hotel, restaurant, and marina,” said Toni Miloš, a distinguished face in front of Martinis Marchi.
“It is worth mentioning that the specialty of the Martinis Marchi restaurant is a menu that combines dishes from the time of the Martinis Marchi founder. We certainly try to look at each dish as a little work of art, and leave our guests with unforgettable memories,” added Toni Miloš.
