Croatians have so far been able to try Zacapa 23 and Zacapa XO, but from March they will also be able to enjoy Zacapa Royal and Zacapa Edicion Negra
If it didn’t take place in Noel, it didn’t happen. This is the sensation recently – as all gastronomy novelties, as well as presentations of top quality drinks take place in this not too large Zagreb restaurant. Several days ago a dinner was held, which combined superior Guatemalan Zacapa rums with excellent food prepared by the inventive team of Goran Kočiš.
Brand presentation was done by Lorena Vasquez, holding a title not many women do – Master Rum Blender. The Zacapa rum, distributed in Croatia by PPD Croatia, is considered one of the best ultra premium rums in the world, and Croatians have so far been able to try Zacapa 23 and Zacapa XO, but from March they will also be able to enjoy Zacapa Royal and Zacapa Edicion Negra, whose premiere presentation took place in Noel.
This rum is matured in oak barrels taken from four French forests, and the liquid was delicately distilled by Vasquez herself, carefully choosing the rarest and most ripe rums in the cellars of Guatemalan hills and developed them through slow maturation, the Sister Soler system, using various types of barrels to increase complexity and intensity of aromas and taste. The result are exceptionally deep aromas, full colors and rich taste. Zacapa Edicion Negra presents a new and different palette of smell and taste, departing from sweet notes specific of Zacapa rums. This rums is inspired by natural elements of Guatemala and its dark volcanic soil.
The history of the Zacapa brand is tied to the history of Guatemala and its fertile soil, one of the most ideal places in the world to grow sugar cane. Rums are matured here in cold air (average temperature 16.7 Celsius, without major oscillations) at 2.300 meters above sea level of the Guatemala mountain range, which gives the drink a deep, rich taste. Along with the finest rums, there was also a presentation of the Ron Zapaca brand history, and a demonstration of rum presentation and serving methods, including preparation and serving of cocktails.
