As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 20th of July, 2018, Slovenia’s Helitours company has enriched Croatia’s tourist offer when it comes to luxury tourism with a helicopter service.
The Slovenian company’s helicopters are currently positioned on the island of Brač and on Mali Lošinj, thus covering the entire coastline and even going as far as to combine the transportation of persons to and from Zagreb, which is an added bonus for the country’s tourism, even in the often overlooked continental sense.
According to Tom Mastnak from Helitours, who spoke with the Croatian tourism portal hrturizam.hr, they are currently going forward with two Airbus Dauphins helicopters, with which they’re offering helicopter transport services located in Brač and Lošinj and covering our entire coast, even offering international flights to Montenegro, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Italy.
“We offer two Airbus Dauphins helicopters that have two engines that enable us to safely and securely fly across the sea and settlements, with a capacity of eight people. The distance of 350 kilometres (by air) or 200 nautical miles, which is, let’s say, the distance from Zagreb to Hvar, and from Mali Lošinj we can be in Venice in an hour. We have many years of experience in flying with helicopters and we’re currently the only helicopter operator with the European AOC certificate in this part of Europe with complex helicopters, so we’re competing in the very top of the offer in Europe,” Mastnak said.
This comes as more than excellent news for the country’s overall tourism offer, especially in regard to 4 and 5 star hotels and destinations attempting to position themselves within the scope of luxury tourism, such as Dubrovnik, Hvar, Mali Lošinj, Rovinj, and numerous others.
