After the spectacular finding and removing of the statue from the bottom of the sea in Lošinj, the long-term and professional restoration of the statue took place in collaboration with the Italian Institute Opificio delle Pietre Dure of Florence who made a comprehensive program of conservation and restoration research, which was led by now-deceased restorer Giulinano Torda. In addition, the first presentation of valuable bronze statue outside of Croatian borders was in Florence from September 2006 to January 2007.
