As if Dalmatia could look any better…
It just did.
For those of you that have visited Dalmatia, you are more than aware of its crippling beauty which, on more than a few occasions, will make you weak at the knees. From our cliffs, mountains, and hilltops, the views of this region are spellbinding – and now, from the tip-top of Klis Fortress, we can enjoy the views 24/7…and all of that without moving from our computer screens.
Two years after a modern automated weather station was installed at Klis Fortress, a new panoramic webcam has been implemented at the facility which has been financed by the Klis Municipality, reports Dalmacija Danas on January 2, 2018.
“This panoramic camera has, probably, the most beautiful view in this part of Croatia. Apart from seeing part of the fortress, the central part of the camera is focused on the peninsula of Split, but you can also see parts of the Klis field, Kozjak, Čiovo, Šolta, and the western part of Brač.
This camera will contribute to the further popularization of this historic site. However, unfortunately, we know that Dalmatia enters 2018 not just as the only part of Croatia, but also the only part of the EU that is not covered by meteorological radar. Such high-quality panoramic cameras can help to see what time weather is coming from the west,” said Tin Juginović, a member of the Crometeo team who participated in installing the weather station and camera.
