Ultra Europe: Three days of explosive headliners, mind blowing visuals, intensive dancing and 40,000 of your best friends. Poljud Stadium in Split has created the perfect atmosphere to sweat it out under the hot summer heat in a pristinely ancient European city. Although we know the festival will take up most of your time in Split, it would be a shame not experience the plethora of built in amenities the city has to offer. Understanding your tired bodies will be in need of some daily R&R, here is a list of activities for you, whether you’re nursing a hangover or resting your tired legs. We promise we aren’t asking too much of you to fully imbibe in the Dalmatian experience.
The beaches: A no brainer, Split has plenty of stunning beaches for you to cool off in, soak your dancing legs, and maybe most importantly catch those UV rays so you’re looking your best tanned self at the festival. If you want to keep the party going, COX Bar in Zenta and Bačvice beach have beach parties during the day in celebration of Ultra. For something a bit quieter you can head over to Kašjuni or Žnjan, escaping the thick of the crowds – but you will find party elements through the caffe bars in Žnjan or in the new Joe’s Beach Lounge and Bar at Kašjuni.

The Riva: Enjoy a long and relaxing cup of coffee (or water, or beer) on the riva and do as Dalmatians do. People watching here is some of the best, and many of the cafe bars have misters and comfy chairs to cool you and comfort you during your time of rest. Enjoy this time to catch up with your friends and discuss the crazy antics from the night before or the party plans for the evening ahead.

Shopping Malls: Split has 3 stunning shopping malls to choose from, which can be your air conditioned safe haven and time of relief during your stay in Split. Joker is a short walk from the center, and both the Mall of Spit and City Center One a short bus ride away on the number 8 bus. Plus, you can get some goodies for your Ultra costumes here!

Parks: Split has some stunning parks for you to fully veg out in. Sustipan park is about a 10 minute walk from the center, overlooking the whole of the Adriatic in a shaded pine tree paradise. Marjan Nature Park is another great place to unwind, and you’ll even find the swimming oasis of Bene not a far walk from the start. Bring some sandwiches, a lot of cold water, a blanket, and take a fully nature induced nap.

Ultra doesn’t have to be all about the party, but understanding 90% of your time here will be, get out and enjoy what this heavenly city has to offer!
