“Tesla’s visions are simply taken for granted today, without a thought of how they came about,” said Croatian president Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović at the opening on Friday evening
The multimedia exhibition project “Nikola Tesla – Mind from the Future,” and interactive story of a scientists whose inventions changed the course of history, but also of the effect he had on modern artists, was opened on Friday evening in the Home of Croatian Artists’ Association, Večernji List reported on November 25, 2017.
Patron of the exhibition, Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, believes Tesla would be proud of the exhibition in the Meštrović pavilion, which is also “an example of how an exhibition does not need to be a passive presentation of facts, but can be a dynamic overview and attractive invitation to meet his wonderful world.” She rated it “a unique project which not only presents his life and work, but also the virtues of one of the most brilliant scientists who was in many ways ahead of his time. Tesla’s visions are simply taken for granted today, without a thought of how they came about, of the basis of those inventions, hard work, dedication and energy of a man who explores the limits of his own potential, as well as the limits of the vast world of science.”

Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić, also a patron, feels this project demonstrates the appreciation of true artists by the City of Zagreb. “Tesla was not a Croat, Serb, Hungarian or something else, he was a cosmopolitan, a man of the world and we confirm this here again,” he said. “I am proud we have returned Tesla to the centre of town where he belongs, for securing the right to name the technical museum after him and for sponsoring this exhibition,” he added, announcing next year lake Jarun will boast the largest Tesla tower in the world.
Author of the exhibition concept is Helena Bulaja Madunić, for whom Tesla is a permanent occupation in her artistic work. “This is not the result of just one head, this project attracted an incredible machinery in the past two years, several hundred people. This is my best creative, work and life experience,” she pointed out.
Krešimir Renzo Prosoli from the Real Grupa agency rated no previous exhibitions on Tesla were displayed in the concept made by Helena Bulaja Madunić. As the goal of the exhibition is also to promote Croatia, Prosoli announced they are preparing to move the exhibition to towns Tesla worked and lived in: New York, Paris, Prague and Budapest, also planning to send it to the EXPO 2020 in Dubai, where human ingenuity will be in focus.
The exhibition will be on display until March 20 of 2018.
