An attractive fair was held in Sisak on June 9, 2017: the 3rd annual exhibition of electric and hybrid vehicles. Organised by the Technical School Sisak, the event presented the audience with around 20 vehicles of various brands, including Tesla, Renault, Mitsubishi Miev, Nissan Leaf, and e-Smart, reports lokalni.hr.
The most interesting feature, though, must have been the solar vehicles designed and manufactured by high school students. The cars were put on display as a sort of introduction to the 5th solar challenge SOELA 2017 that took place on June 10, also organised by the school and supported by multiple ministries, the Sisak-Moslavina County and the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund.
“We started with five automobiles and schools, and today we’ve got 20. They were made by the students from 16 Croatian high schools and 2 Slovenian schools. A solar vehicle made at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek is also going to participate in the race”, said Stevče Arsoski, professor at the Technical School Sisak.
Students who competed in SOELA 2017 came from trade schools all over Croatia, including Kutina, Velika Gorica, Zadar, Osijek, Slavonski Brod, Rijeka, Novska, Slunj and Gospić.
