Fantastic charity fashoin show in Spaladium arena in Split this Tuesday.
It is often said Split Riva is like a big fashion runway, even on an average day, and on May 10, 2016, fashion designers and Split celebrities will join forces with Rotary Club Split Plus for a charity fashion show “Split Plus Fashion” in the substructures of Spaladium Arena.
If you have a passion for fashion, then this event is definitely something to your taste. Rotary Split Plus is organizing a big charity fashion show on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, in the substructures of Spaladium Arena in Split.
“Split Plus Fashion” is their latest charity project and all the proceeds from the tickets and the show will go to the “Maestral” children’s home for the refurbishment of their third floor. The entire floor will be remodeled into an apartment to give the children a much-needed sense of home. Children of Maestral will also be the most important guests of the fashion show while three of them will model some of the fashion that will be shown during the night.
Rotary Club Split Plus, after years of very successful charity projects, decided to base its newest charity effort on circular economy in order to teach our younger generations (and us, older ones too) about the dangers of ever-growing consumerism. So, in line with their message, tonight’s fashion show will be entirely dedicated to re-designed clothes that were donated by celebrities from Split and then re-designed by some of the most renowned fashion designers from Split and Croatia. Previous owners will be able to bid for their “renewed” items of clothing while the public will also be able to join the project and bid for their favourite items.
Tickets for the show are available at the Joker shopping centre, and your small donation of 50 kn will really help Maestral children’s home reach its goal.
Designers participating in the event are: Jurica and Marija Pirić (studio Arileo), Ana Kujundžić (“Kad-tad” fashion design), Katarina Cvitković ( “Karin Design”), Eleonora Tomić (“Etno Mot”), Neda Makjanić -Kunić ( “Mak”), Monika Sabljić, Mia Caktaš ( “MammaMia Art”), Anamarija Asanović. They all had the same task, turning used clothes into completely new and attractive pieces. Re-designed clothes will be accompanied by the latest collection of Ledenko shoes and all models will be in very capable hands of the best hair stylists and makeup artists in Split.
As for the celebrities that will also model these redesigned pieces, let’s just say our renowned athletes Blanka Vlašić, Zaninović sisters, gymnasts Tina Erceg and Ana Đerek will all show of their modeling skills for a good cause.
Join this fundraising project on Tuesday at the substructures of Spaladum arena and enjoy a night of great fashion. Event starts at 8 PM. Be there.
