In Zadar this weekend?
As Morski writes on the 1st of August, 2018, on Monday the 30th of July, applications for the twelfth Millennium Jump began, and 895 people registered during the very first four hours.
These encouraging numbers indicate that on average, every single minute, three people registered to participate in the DM Millennium Jump which will take place this weekend on the Zadar waterfront (riva), on Saturday the 4th of August, 2018.
”In just four hours, we collected 895 applications for the 12th Millennium Jump, which is 76 percent more registrations than last year when 507 people applied on the first day. The large number of applications shows us that interest in the DM Millennium Jump is continuing to grow. At DM, we’re delighted to be able to justify our expectations and ensure the best humanitarian entertainment on the Adriatic coast to our participants on Saturday on the Zadar waterfront,” said Martina Markota of DM.
Everyone who wants to join the millennium jump can sign up in Zadar at Narodni trg (People’s square) or at Kalelarga (known as the ”wide street”), in front of the DM store on August the 3rd between 19:00 and 23:00. The participation fee is 30 kuna per person, and persons wishing to participate under the age of fourteen must be registered in the presence of a parent or guardian.
Just like every year so far, part of the entry fee(s) collected will be donated to the Latica Nursery School of Swimming for Children with Developmental Disabilities. Students from that same swimming school will join in with the jump this year to show off what they have learned over the past year thanks to the continued and faithful support of the increasingly popular DM Millennium Jump.
In addition, a team of dermatologists will perform free dermatological examinations on the Zadar waterfront, and for making sure everyone is enjoying the sun safely, DM have prepared T-shirts and checkpoints which will supply free sun protection for all participants.
