April 2nd 2018, over Easter Weekend, Marina Frapa Resort Rogoznica took a journey to the past with a collection of oldtimer classic cars for the traditional season opening of the Marina and Resort.
Last weekend saw the traditional opening of Marina Frapa Resort Rogoznica, marked by an unforgettable journey into the past, more than 50 years back to be precise. These timeless beauties perfectly matched the vintage ambiance of Marina Frapa Resort Rogoznica.
The main purpose of this memorable event named “Easter Oldtimer Promo Tour” was not about competing but rather about socialising, relaxing and enjoying the picturesque view of Rogoznica bay. Visitors, friends, and partners of Marina Frapa were fascinated by the interesting history of the classic cars.
Each car has a story to tell – about what they have accomplished, where they have travelled so far and why or how they are not ‘retired’ yet. Their attractive interior and exterior are enough to draw attention wherever they go; despite their imperfections – a little wear and tear from years of love and use, they will always remain classics and are worthy of the attention they receive. Modern cars may be faster, safer, more reliable (and cheaper to maintain) but the oldtimers have a style and grace that modern designs just do not come close to.
The event took place in Marina Frapa in cooperation with the “Oldtimer Club” magazine on Easter Monday. The proud owners came with the following oldtimers: Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, Gentry MG, Citroen DS, Jaguar E type coupe, MG C cabrio, Alfa GT 2000, Mini Morris, VW Buba cabrio, Cadilac, Trumph Spitfire MKIV, Alfa Sprint, Mercedes Benz 380 SL, Maserati Quatroporte III and Opel.
Croatia Sothebys International Realty and Diamond Centre Dubrovnik were the main partners of the Easter Oldtimer Promo Tour.
