The traditional Split cycling event, organized by the Marjan Cycling Club, the Sunce Association, the County Cycling Union and the Split-Dalmatia County, brought together around 400 participants. Among them, there were also some fifty tourists who rented their bicycles especially for the event, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on September 26, 2015.

All the participants and passers-by were delighted with the long column of cyclists who rode down from Žnjan, over the Bačvice to the Split Waterfront, where there were joined by yet another group of cyclists. Afterwards, they all together rounded the Marjan hill and finally came to the Poljud Stadium, where the sponsors of the whole event presented the awards.

At the Poljud Stadium, several institutions organized special presentations at their stands: Physical Education Faculty organized the measurement of body fat, spirometry and some other functional tests; Ministry of the Interior promoted the project of police officers on bicycles, safe driving techniques, how to prevent theft of bicycles and demonstrated how it is to be drunk while riding; the Marjan Cycling Club organized a school of cycling; and the Sunce Association presented its environmental protection projects.

The organizers have invited all the participants to come to the next event which will take place in Klis as early as next Saturday, October 3, starting at 10 am at the Klis fortress.
