Who says we don’t have a very wide range of events for every taste here in Croatia?
Here’s an event we’re not exactly sure how to categorize, but it is supposedly happening on August 28th in Split.
“Say no to Marijuana and heavy metal”, a public panel apparently organized by the Church of St. Francis in Split, is calling on all of those in need of some education on the harmful effects of marijuana and heavy metal on our youth.
We say apparently organized by the Church of St. Francis because this event invitation was posted by a group called Božja ruka (God’s hand) and they are no strangers to posting quite funny and very “believable” posts.
Panel will be held on Peristil, August 28th at 7 PM with guest speakers, doctors from Ottawa (no mention of actual names, of course) who will not only speak of the dangers of cannabis among adolescents but they will also discuss the link between marijuana and metal. Doctors will be joined by ex heavy metal lovers who were cured by the grace of God.
Be as it may, and without suggesting in any way that any form of drug use is acceptable, we’ll show up just to see what all the hoopla is about given that 21 000 people have already accepted the invitation since yesterday. So, if you’re in need of some “enlightenment”, make sure you mark August 28th in your Google calendar, see you there!
