All Uber users will receive better-quality service as uberX and UberSELECT will be combined.
November 26, 2018 – As of today, Uber will combine its services uberX and UberSELECT, thus ensuring a better-quality service for its users and better working conditions for the partners and drivers. Uber will remain the most favorable and most reliable transport option in Zagreb. Moreover, Uber recently upgraded the use of safety features in the app, thus further improving the safety of both its users and partner drivers.
The fare to the Zagreb airport will go down: a ride that started on the south side of the Sava River will amount to HRK 70, while a ride that began north of the Sava will cost HRK 95. Uber will further adapt the fares in Zagreb: the initial charge (HRK 6) and fare per kilometer (HRK 3.60) will remain the same, while the fare per minute will increase to HRK 1.20. As always, the total fare will remain transparently on display in the app before a ride is ordered, which is yet another one of the advantages of using the Uber app.
Davor Tremac, Uber general manager for Southeast Europe, pointed out: “We are continuously working to improve the experience for our users and our partner drivers using the app. By combining the uberX and UberSELECT services, we want to provide a high level of quality for both groups. I am also sure that the process of alignment with the new Road Transport Act, which will soon be due, will bring improvement to the market and further ensure the growth of the service quality.”
In order to spur changes in the industry and ensure better working conditions, a partner protection program has been launched, giving all independent partner drivers free AXA insurance from unforeseen costs of major life events. Along with the improved partner drivers’ working conditions, Uber is continuously working on improving its user experience.
In the improvement effort, and as part of the newly introduced safety features, the users can now access the Safety Center, which contains everything related to user safety, including links that allow the users to share their travel routes with friends and quickly contact emergency services. These new features also warn partner drivers about abiding by speed limits, so that every ride is safe for them, their passengers and other road traffic users.
