Irritated Dubrovnik locals take a stand against ”taxi terror”
Facebook, isn’t it a wonderful thing? After yesterday’s protests against Uber which began on the Adriatic Highway from Dubrovnik to Konavle and saw numerous people miss their flights, Dubrovnik’s locals have taken a stand against the sheer chaos caused by the halting of the traffic by means of a Facebook group.
”Blokirajmo taksistima stajalista!” states that Dubrovnik has had enough of the terror brought on by taxi drivers and that the city doesn’t want to be a victim of ”monopoly”, it also invites others to join in the blockade.
Although the message is clear and serious, many amusing posts have appeared on the group, including a YouTube link dedicated to ”our dear taxi drivers” to a video called ”Let go of the things you can’t control and move the f*ck on’‘ and a post which plays on the wording of a common Facebook scam:
”Facebook has decided that for every like, they’ll add one more Uber driver. If you agree, like this post and comment ”Amen”
