The spectacle of fashion, beauty, art and music will be held next Saturday.
The competition for the prestigious title World Top Model Croatia 2018 will bring a spectacle of fashion, beauty, art and music to Korčula next week, reports Modni Izazovi on June 8, 2018.
Fourteen models have been selected by fashion agencies from all over Croatia, and the local competitors will be joined by the winners of the national competitions in Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia as special guests. The ladies will prepare at the Port 9 resort for five days to get ready for the grand final which will take place on 16 June at the Cultural Centre, under the patronage of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, the Town of Korčula and the Korčula Tourist Board.
Korčula’s historical sites and the beauty of the contestants will be an inspiration for famous painter Charles Bilich, who will attend the competition as a jury member. In addition to him, Australia will be represented by another world-famous artist with Croatian roots, director and producer Steve Ravic. Difficult decision in the jury will also be made by the owner of the WTM global licence Fiore Tondi and the general manager of Croatia Bus Marko Zelenika, the owner of Cromoda, Croatia’s most popular fashion portal, Zlatan Ovčić and a booker from the Major Model Management fashion agency from Milan. The jury will be chaired by the World Top Model Croatia licence-owner Sandra Šerbec.
Jacques Houdek will delight the audience with his music hits, and he will be joined by young jazz singer Dora Škender. The event will be hosted by highly experienced and charming Boris Kosmač.
Competitors will demonstrate their modelling skills by presenting evening dresses by designer Ana Edišar and her AE Design brand, the summer collection of Iva Karčić, and Galeb swimwear. In addition to beautiful clothes, the ladies will wear bags designed by designer and photographer Kristina Fazinić as part of her Bags by Kristina line, as well as Högl shoes. The make-up will be done by the Red Lips team, under the patronage of the Montibello brand, and the competitors will be further pampered by the Beauty Institute Dharma and the Bahelle cosmetics.
“We are looking forward to another World Top Model Croatia finals in magical Korčula. In cooperation with the local tourist board, we have included in the preparations for the competition a number of interesting events for the ladies, such as guided town tours and visits to the ‘Tastes of Korčula’ and ‘Moreška – Knightly Competition’ events. This is an excellent opportunity for the ladies from Croatia and our guests from the region to get to know the history and beauty of the island and the town of Korčula,” event organizer and project manager Robert Šerbec said.
