November 10, 2023 – From November 29 to January 7, 2024, Zagreb’s Josip Juraj Strossmayer Square will become the warmest living room filled with Christmas smells, tastes, sounds, and joy – check out the first details of the legendary Zagreb Advent Fuliranje.
If you’ve visited Zagreb Advent before, you will surely agree – Fuliranje is our first thought.
And it is so for a reason. They are ready to prove that it is the most popular event within Zagreb Advent for the 11th year in a row, from November 29 until January 7, 2024. A Christmas fairytale land is coming with its recognizable signature to Zagreb’s Josip Juraj Strossmayer Square. This winter, Fuliranje has the mission of returning Christmas to the streets of Zagreb in style. Christmas trees and gifts, lights and cinnamon, Santa Claus, turkey, sardines and fritters, old and new Christmas songs – at Fuliranje you will step into real holiday magic with all your senses, and Strossmayer’s favorite square will smell, look, sound and feel like the warmest Christmas home.
“Fuliranje celebrates its eleventh year this winter, and we can proudly say that we greatly contributed to the development of Advent as a tourist brand in Zagreb. In cooperation with the Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb, hundreds of restaurants cafes, designers, and chefs, we worked to raise the standards of the Zagreb street food scene, as well as the gastronomic and tourist offer of Zagreb in general. Hundreds of DJs, top musicians, and performers as part of Fuliranje made the streets of Zagreb more urban, modern, and cultural. Even then, the atmosphere created in Zagreb gave serious momentum and support to the creative event industry, so Advent in Zagreb became one of the best in the world in just 11 years, and certainly the most attractive in terms of gastronomy”, emphasize the organizers from the creative agency Kokoš ili jaje.
And indeed, every year more and more enticing, gastronomic pleasures were and remain the focus of Fuliranje. This is how some of the most creative representatives from all over Croatia will once again gather on Strossmayer Square this winter. From a total of 17 stands of this year’s Fuliranje, a delicious gastronomic offer was specially prepared for the most beautiful time of the year by: Nebo by Deni Srdoč Streetstyle, Izakaya, Institut za kobasice Mate Janković, Boogie Lab, Chefs burger by Ivan Pažanin, Picnic Mingle and Fun, Pizza Social Club, Purple Monkey, Rougemarin, Begs Plant Based Streetfood, Kužinavanje by Damir Tomljanović, Full Circle, Briocherie and Bakina tajna.
In such a rich and wide range of culinary genres, everyone will surely find their favorite snacks. Holiday days and evenings will be additionally warmed by the best wines, premium brandies, cocktails, and champagnes offered by the legendary Rakijarnica and the unsurpassed Gingle Bells.
The program for the little ones has been designed with a lot of love and imagination as well – let’s just mention the best Santa Claus in the country and beyond, as well as the performances of children’s choirs on Sundays at noon. The charity action of painting 15 wooden pine trees will be a special attraction – selected artists will paint them on the spot with a lot of soul and all their creativity.
In addition to irresistible gastronomic delights and the best holiday sips, this year’s Fuliranje will also offer an ever richer musical program. Visitors will be kept entertained by 13 carefully selected DJs in the musical program under the creative baton of Ozren Kanceljak, starting on Thursday, November 30, with DJ Pepi Jogarde. There will be a series of DJ performances for the entire duration of the festival from Wednesday to Sunday. In the month of celebration and joy, visitors will also enjoy free concerts by Connect, Songkillers, Queen Tribute band, and another surprise concert has been announced. TBF will take care of an unforgettable send-off for 2023 and a spectacular entry into the year 2024. The members are already well into preparations for the New Year at Fuliranje and have announced “a fantastic party from which you will leave in the wee hours of 2024 with a smile around your head.”
