A stronger earthquake woke up Dalmatia early this morning.
August 30, 2018 – At 5:33 am on Thursday, Dalmatia and Southern Bosnia and Herzegovina shook from one of the more powerful earthquakes felt in the region lately. According to the first EMSC information, the epicenter of the earthquake was 19 km west of Glamoč, at a depth of two kilometers and a 4.6 magnitude. The earthquake was felt strongly in the Vrlika area of Croatia.
The quake first hit lightly, and quickly grew more powerful, making it one of the stronger earthquakes felt in Dalmatia lately. Some towns in Inland Dalmatia were left without electricity after the earthquake.
Three earthquakes were recorded on Thursday morning, the strongest of which was 4.6.
Another earthquake 22 miles from Glamoč was recorded, which was 3 magnitude, and a 3.3 earthquake also hit the same area, with an epicenter 17 kilometers from Glamoč.
