One Dalmatian island has attracted the attention of the entire country and beyond with its incredibly tempting offer…

While it might be a little hard to believe at first sight, this more than tempting offer was announced by the school itself on its pages, and with it, the voice naturally began to spread much further than the island, followed quickly by interest and queries from all corners of Croatia.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 27th of April, 2018, free accommodation, food, laptops/tablets and a job in the tourist industry are offered to students enrolling at Bol High School on the picturesque central Dalmatian island of Brač.

The conditions are so incredibly desirable that they’re almost hard to comprehend for the vast majority, and the conditions have been made as such so as to attract as many students in the next school year, not just those from the island and wider Split area but also from all over Croatia, Slobodna Dalmacija writes. This offer has of course attracted the attention and gained the curiosity of a great many from across the country, and even from neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina, with students already having begun to come to the school.

”Our small island school has seventy pupils, but it’s been shown that they achieved excellent results at student competitions, and almost everyone who completes their time at this high school has enrolled in their desired facultie (further education). The rest, though, find a job without any problems,” stated the school’s director.

Schooling in Bol has a number of advantages, all of the students who are eligible to enroll in the student’s home will be entitled to completely free accommodation and food, and the costs will be financed by the Municipality of Bol. Students enrolling a program to open the professional doors to being a chef or a waiter are entitled to a full scholarship of 1,200 kuna per month provided by the hotel company “Hoteli Zlatni rat”, which is part of Bluesun Hotels, company, owned by Jako Andabak.
