1.9 Million Kuna in EU Funds Approved for Slivno Municipality Recycling Yard

Good news for the Slivno Municipality!

As DuList reports on the 23rd of September, 2017, the financing decision for the project proposal ”Recycling Yard Pižinovac – Lovorje” has been announced, according to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Energy.

The amount of non-refundable EU funds granted through the Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020 is HRK 1,899,922.57, or 85% of eligible project costs totaling HRK 2,235,203.03. The project leader is the Municipality of Slivno, and everything was prepared by the Regional Development Agency DUNEA.

By establishing a recycling yard, the overall collection of waste will be improved in the Slivno Municipality in southern Croatia. The project is planning not only the construction, but the equipping of the yard itself, as well as a promotional campaign focused primarily on citizens and tourists, in order to raise the level of awareness of the overall need to recycle, but the existence of the newly introduced separate waste collection infrastructure.

In the next 40 days, the signing of the Agreement between the Municipality of Slivno and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Energy and the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency, is expected to take place, and thereafter the beginning of the implementation of the praiseworthy, environmentally friendly project. The opening of the recycling yard is scheduled for late next year.
