177 000 More Passengers in Croatian Airports

Large increase in passenger numbers passing through Croatian airports.

According to the official data published today by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, in the first 6 months of this year, 2,66 million passengers passed through Croatian airports which is 7,2% or 177 000 more than in the same period last year. In June alone we have an increase of 6,1% and we don’t yet have the numbers for the high season so we can expect the overall increase to be even higher.

One of the main reasons for this great result is the 5% increase of the total number of operations (take-offs and landings) in these airports. 5 out of 8 Croatian airports recorded an increase in arrivals and the top spot goes to Split with 267 000 or 14,4% more than in 2014. Zagreb takes the second spot with a 1,7% increase and Dubrovnik came in close third with 243 600 passengers.
