68 New Producers and 111 Products Receive the Croatian Island Product Label

Now more than 630 products from 23 Croatian islands carry this label 

Catalogue of products under the “Croatian Island Product” label is getting bigger and bigger. During a special ceremony held in Bol on island Brač on October 23 2015, 68 new producers from Croatian islands and 111 products and product lines received the label and it was presented to them by Branko Grčić, Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds.

“Your every buyer is extremely lucky because he is receiving something original, unique and of high quality. We will continue to support you and your efforts. May this new label serve as an enticement for your future projects” said Branko Grčić as he congratulated all the recipients.

Since the implementation of this project in 2007, a total of 219 producers from Croatia islands received this label including 18 eco-producers and 25 producers with geographic origin certificates. 628 products and product lines have the label from 23 Croatian islands including Brač, Hvar, Vis, Korčula, Pag, Krk, Lastovo, Dugi Otok, Rab, Cres, Lošinj, Prvić, Ugljan, Mljet, Šolta, Žirje, Pašman, Iž, Murter, Olib, Kornat, Rava, Silba and Pelješac peninsula.

One of the main goals of this project is to keep the producers on the islands and to increase employment on Croatian islands.
