ACI suffered a loss of HRK 895.000 in the first six months of 2017, reports Morski.hr. Compared with a profit of HRK 3.69 million in the same time frame last year, the latest financial situation represents a big blow to the company.
In the first half of 2017, ACI generated revenue of HRK 77.15 million, making for a 1% decrease compared with last year. The biggest factor that resulted in the overall decline in profit was the ACI Marina Rovinj that’s closed for reconstruction. The largest income was generated in ACI Marinas Split, Dubrovnik, Umag and Opatija, while the biggest revenue increase compared with last year was reported in ACI Marinas Pomer, Rab Piškera and Umag.
Revenue from long-term berthing is HRK 2.2 million lower than last year, also due to the ongoing work in marina Rovinj. Half of the total number of moored boats were transferred to other ACI marinas, but the financial impact turned out lower due to different commercial terms.
Revenue from monthly berths increased by 16%. One of the deciding factors was the newly opened ACI Marina Veljko Barbieri in Slano. Also increasing was revenue from renting and secondary activities, as well as income from daily berths, making for a growth of HRK 807.000.
ACI d.d. company generated 42% of the total revenue planned for 2017, as well as 47% of planned expenses. Revenue is affected by seasonal character of the business – income is expected to increase in the second half of the year.
