Supporting the bright younger generation in Croatia.
In its ninth donation cycle entitled “Meet the Clever and Creative Croatia”, Adris Foundation has awarded 3.05 million kuna to a total of 77 projects. The donations were distributed through the programs “Knowledge and Discovery” and “Creativity, Ecology, Heritage and Goodness”. In total, 736 applications have been received. In addition to grants for projects belonging to these programs, the Foundation has awarded 22 scholarships to outstanding pupils, university students and students of postgraduate and doctoral studies, reports Poslovni.hr on November 23, 2015.
“Being on the side of a smart, young and creative Croatia means to be on the side of the future. The responsibility for the community, its development and prosperity, can only be taken by bold and educated people who are ready to respond to the challenges of modern society, by people who do not accept mediocrity and are willing to expose themselves to more stringent criteria and a different value system”, managing director of the Adris Group Ante Vlahović said. He added that corporations must have a sense of social context in which they are operating and achieving their business success, and that entrepreneurs today do not have a right to excuses and mediocrity.
Korado Korlević, managing director of the Adris Foundation, said to all grantees that they are expected to be excellent in their fields and become the key people to open the doors of the future. It has been announced that, in the eight years since it was founded, the Adris Foundation has donated 33 million kuna to 700 projects and has allocated 250 scholarships.
The special feature of the ninth donation cycle has been the growth in the number of projects in the Knowledge and Discovery program. During the ceremony at the Museum of Contemporary Art, some of the projects that have been funded were presented. A brief presentation included programs “Reconstruction, Conservation, Rehabilitation and Protection of Northern Part of the Venetian Fortress Kaštel in Pula”, “Genomic Tests for Neurodevelopmental Diseases”, “Demographic Infrastructure for Better Assessment and Policies”, and “Child Poverty and Strategies to Cope with Poverty in Households in Croatia”.
