Is Adris Grupa Taking Over Hotel Marjan in Split?

Total Croatia News

Could this be the end of the neverending saga surrounding the sale of Željko Kerum’s unfinished life project?

According to unofficial information, „Adris Grupa” from Rovinj and owner of Maistra hotel chain is interested in taking over the unfinished hotel Marjan in Split, Slobodna Dalmacija reports on April 21, 2016.

This unfinished hotel next to the City hall in prime seaside location in Split, has had many unsuccessful sales attempts and most potential buyers were discouraged by the high price and state of the building.

The easiest and most feasible way for Adris to take over Marjan is to purchase the outstanding debt of Adriatic d.d in foreclosure (owner of Hotel Marjan)  from „Heta Asset Resolution“ that took over all bad loans from Hypo Bank, at a discounted price.

Just in case you forgot, Adriatic d.d. in foreclosure is a company owned by the former mayor of Spl Željko Kerum.

With the purchase of outstanding debt, Adris Grupa would take over all first rank mortgages of the problem-ridden object. Zoran Miletić Adriatic’s bankruptcy director stated he received information that „”Heta Asset Resolution” is indeed selling the outstanding debt which is now around 300 million kuna plus interest, but that the procedure is still pending.
