Not everything is so black…

In what is sure to be recognised as an additional and praiseworthy boost to new investments, is certainly the latest contract with a world-renowned company.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 19th of March, 2018, Lay-Z, a member of the Textum group, is constructing a new factory in Viškov according to director Saša Matijaš. The total investment in the factory, based in an industry that has long been suffering from intense economic stagnation in the country, amounts to three million euro, as Novi list reports.

In the new factory, to be built in the Mavri Work Zone, various textile products will be produced, a range with which Lay-Z has been very much present on the global market for many years now.

However, as Matijaš remarks, an additional boost will surely come in the form of this, the latest contract with the world-renowned company Lay-Z, which will produce the products in the contract solely in Europe, right here in Croatia, close to Rijeka, in Viškov.

The name of the company, says Matijaš, cannot yet be revealed, as is the case with contractual relations with numerous other customers, including both international brands and more local domestic producers.

Given that the textile industry is a sector is, as previously mentioned, suffering quite greatly, and is a sector from which everyone in Croatia appears to be fleeing, the news that somebody from this economic branch is conctructing a factory and concluding contracts with well-respected firms in the industry, to give the textile industry in Croatia a much needed kick, is very much worth the attention.
