As Poslovni Dnevnik/Lucija Spiljak writes, back at the beginning of November this year, the Croatian subsidiary of Atos (Atos Croatia/Hrvatska) became SAP’s partner for the implementation of the SAP Business ByDesign solution. It is a new SAP business information management system (ERP) for medium and small companies, which provides a significant competitive advantage and allows for the rapid adaptation to changes in the wider market.
Atos, a world leader in digital transformation, is SAP’s long-term global partner who, as they point out, will bring medium-sized and small companies the benefits of SAP’s solutions by entering a new niche.
“SAP Business ByDesign incorporates all of the knowledge, experience and best practices gained through the SAP S/4HANA solution used by larger corporations, while Business ByDesign is intended for companies which have five to several thousand system users. The SAP Business ByDesign solution covers all major business areas, from customer and human resources, business intelligence to finance, controlling, project management, procurement, manufacturing, sales and marketing,” they said from Atos.
Using the application, which is located in the cloud and is used as an Internet service, is simple, takes place through an intuitive user interface, has built-in support and employee self-service. With its built-in analytics, reporting on all these business areas, data retrieval and a clear flow of documents ensure, according to the company, full business transparency. SAP Business ByDesign is tailored to work on all platforms, from PCs and laptops to tablets and even smartphones.
“We believe that the partnership of SAP and Atos Croatia in the field of small and medium enterprises in the Republic of Croatia will provide our clients not only with innovative technologies that will lead to complete digital transformation, but also reliable support and competence that will guide them along the way. I’m happy to be able to congratulate Atos for this initiative and I’m convinced that they will be a positive factor in supporting this market segment,” commented Anita Lacmanovic, the General Manager of SAP in Croatia.
The Croatian business sector consists mainly of small and medium-sized companies, and according to recent statistics their share is more than 90 percent. Small and medium-sized enterprises affect the country’s economy not only as a result of their numbers, but also by their ability to create new jobs. According to the World Bank, in emerging markets, as many as seven out of ten new jobs appear in small companies that generate up to 40 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).
“After several decades of successful cooperation with SAP during which Atos Croatia has implemented solutions such as SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA or SAP Sales Cloud, we decided to become SAP’s Business ByDesign partner for companies on the road to their digital transformations. We believe that we can help medium and small companies improve their businesses by implementing a new cloud solution with standardised business processes,” added Sandi Marusic, the director of Atos Croatia.
Atos Croatis is otherwise one of the most dynamic system integrators and IT service providers not only in this country but also across the immediate region, with expertise in various business areas, such as procurement, production and distribution, and with extensive experience in all industries – from telecommunications, public sector, retail, to production and transport . They also provide consulting, implementation, integration and outsourcing services, based on a strong local team and global expertise.
