British American Tobacco investing more in Croatia, Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Dalekovod land major contracts abroad

While British American Tobacco is increasing production capacity, Ericsson Nikola Tesla is increasing LTE network capacity in Armenia and Dalekovod is building power lines in Norway

Prime Minister Tihomir Orešković met with representatives of British American Tobacco, headed by Nicandro Durante, who announced a 30 million Euro investment in increasing and upgrading production capacity in Croatia, HINA reports on June 2, 2016.

In the past eight months British American Tobacco, a leading multinational company with around 60.000 employees, successfully integrated Croatian TDR into their global system. “Thanks to new investments during the next three years, the Kanfanara factory will gain importance,” says BAT CEO Nicandro Durante.

Prime Minister Orešković expressed his content with the fact that BAT will open new jobs along with 1.700 current employees in Croatia. After Pliva and other expected investments he sees it as confirmation of a good investment climate.

Croatian company Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Armenian operator Ucom have agreed on the second phase of cooperation in expanding Ucom’s LTE network, introducing new functionalities and increasing capacity of the core network as well as modernising the 3G network of the operator. Total value of the second phase is 82 million Kuna.

Under a contract signed in March of this year, the Armenian operator will receive radio and core equipment with associated services, including Ericsson Expert Analytics, software enabling operators to automatically improve service based on the satisfaction of users.

The Dalekovod company, based in Zagreb, reported on Thursday on the signing of two contracts with the Norwegian power transfer company Statnett, with total value over 65 million Euros. The contracts refer to the building of 420 kV power lines Namsos – Hofstad – Åfjord, as well as 420 kV power lines Snilldal – Surna, with total length of 200 kilometres, reports Tportal.hr on June 2, 2016.
