Cappelli Shares 17.3m Kuna Across 32 Infrastructure Projects: These Projects Received the Most Money

This year for the first time, the beaches and rivers on the continent, including the the Karlovac Foginovo beach on the Korana river, will get support.

The Ministry of Tourism, as part of the development of tourism infrastructure, will share 17.3 million kuna for the co-financing of 32 projects including mostly beach planning and visitor centers – with support given to the beaches and rivers on the continent for the first time this year, reports Poslovni.hr on 7 December, 2016.

 

On this occasion, Tourism Minister Gari Cappelli was in Karlovac today, whose Foginovo beach on the Korana river will be receiving 646,000 kuna from the Ministry for landscaping. In addition, for the adaptation of a military museum, the future museum space in Turanj (in Karlovac) has been approved a grant aid of 900,000 kuna.

 

One million kuna will be allocated for the interpretation center at the Vukovar water tower, 900,000 kuna will be received by Split-Dalmatia County for its visitor center, the city of Zadar will receive 700,000 kuna to complete the construction project “Doors in culture”, and Lipik will receive 600,000 kuna for their center of thermal heritage. Apart from Karlovac, assistance for the development of beaches will be given to the municipalities of Ozalj, Petrinja and Orahovica.

 

“Public tourism infrastructure is an integral part of the overall tourist offer of each destination. It is therefore vital that we invest in it, we create a new attraction base, and valorize the natural and cultural heritage,” concluded Minister Cappell
