ZAGREB, March 1, 2018 – Croatia Airlines generated a net profit of 27 million kuna in 2017, compared to 6.6 million kuna in 2016, the national flag carrier said in a preliminary annual financial statement on Wednesday.
Operating revenue was 1.76 billion kuna, up 13% over 2016. The increase was due to the sale of slots at London’s Heathrow Airport. Expenditure rose by 10% to 1.72 billion kuna.
Croatia Airlines flew 2.125 million passengers in 2017, which is 10% more than in 2016. It also transported 2,270 tonnes of goods and mail.
Passenger occupancy was a record 74.4%, the statement said.
