Total Croatia News

Croatia Airlines is expanding its network.

In the winter flight schedule, Croatia Airlines will offer additional flights to Rome, Munich, Copenhagen and Frankfurt, and will discontinue flights from Zagreb to Priština and from Dubrovnik to Rome, announced the company in a statement, reports Poslovni.hr on September 13, 2016.

The winter flight schedule will begin on 30 October and stay in force until 26 March 2017. Croatia Airlines will introduce two additional weekly flights to its regular international service from Split to Rome, on Thursdays and Sundays. Also, the company will add new international flights on the Split to Munich service on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so Croatia Airlines will directly connect these two cities every day of the week with the exception of Saturdays.

The company will also introduce an additional flight on Tuesdays on the Zagreb to Copenhagen service, bringing the total weekly number of flights on this service from five to six.

In the winter timetable, Croatia Airlines will introduce direct flights from Dubrovnik to Frankfurt, three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

During the winter season, services Zagreb-Priština and Dubrovnik-Rome will be discontinued, to make way for the introduction of new flights and optimization of the network in the winter period, announced the company in a statement.

Croatia Airlines pointed out that passenger traffic in the period from January to August this year increased by 4 percent compared to the same period last year, boosted by the introduction of services from Zagreb to Lisbon, Prague, Milan and St. Petersburg.

For the full year, Croatia Airlines expects about 1.97 million passengers, or about 6.5 percent more than in 2015.
