October the 12th, 2023 – The Croatian company APPCRO is set to take on the challenges of the fast-paced global market with its remarkable software.

As Poslovni Dnevnik/Josipa Ban writes, digital transformation, i.e. the digitisation of business processes, is a necessity without which business will not be possible in a few years. Companies that don’t introduce it will not be competitive on the market.

In spite of this apparent sense of urgency, this all-important transformation remains at low levels. Miro Višić started his entrepreneurial journey precisely with the idea of providing organisations with a simple, quick and effective digital transformation.

Meet the Croatian company APPCRO

Thirteen years ago, he founded the Croatian company APPCRO, a software agency that deals with software development, business process analysis and IT consulting services in the field of digitisation.

Years of work and experience have resulted in the fact that APPCRO is now the owner of one of the world’s most innovative platforms for digital business transformation – APPCRO BMS (Business Management Software), which they worked on the development of for eight years.

The quality of this solution was also recognised by the profession. Back in 2017, when it was initially put on the market, the European organisation EuroCloud.org declared their platform the best European software, and then it was only a fifth of what it is today, Višić revealed.

Constant and impressive growth

It is precisely on the basis of this software that APPCRO, whose profits and revenues grow annually at a rate of about 20%, is planning a major expansion into the demanding global market. With this goal having been put into action in June of last year, they founded companies in Great Britain and the USA, and recently made the APPCRO BMS platform available through the Cloud SaaS model, which has a monthly subscription.

It is this launch that should bring the company a global and exponential growth of clients. It will also further enable the conquest of new markets, Višić explained, because it allows the client to order and pay online in just a few minutes, and then to start using their selected platform modules.

Višić pointed out that the platform they developed with the aim of the rapid digitisation of business processes practically has no adequate competition. As he explained, in order for a company to digitise its business processes, it often has to acquire a dozen different types of software. This is exactly what is avoided by using the Croatian company APPCRO’s platform because it is modular and combines a number of software solutions, thus enabling the digitisation of more than 50 business processes.

“APPCRO BMS contains 20 different subsystems and more than 250 modules. It also contains software solutions for CRM, DMS, ECM, HRM, BPM, PM, and ERP segments (with which it has been integrated). That means that it enables the digital management of all documents, contracts, sales, accounts, projects, marketing, procurement, assets, and so on.

The platform is available in sixteen languages

The Croatian company APPCRO platform has been translated into sixteen languages, and can be executed on the web, using a tablet, or on mobile phones. This enables companies that implement our software to speed up their processes by at least 30% and save the same amount”, explained Višić, adding that the investment in APPCRO BMS is paid back within the first year of its use.

An additional advantage of the platform, he noted, is that it allows the user to enjoy flexibility in choosing a system to implement into their business. Therefore, the company can suddenly digitise all business processes or only do parts of it.

All this will be easily adjusted by fifteen employees and about 85 external collaborators of APPCRO. How the solution works in practice is best demonstrated by practical examples. One is that of the well known Klara bakery in Zagreb, which digitised its B2B portal for ordering bakery products using the APPCRO BMS platform, Višić explained.

An increase in efficiency

The proper digitisation of this process, according to Višić, has drastically accelerated ordering and increased efficiency. Before the implementation of their solution, Klara employees received all orders on a daily basis via e-mail or telephone from more than one thousand clients. The Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy in Split digitised the key processes of managing projects, contracts, assets, accounts, documents and more using precisely their solution.

Business expansion

It’s also very interesting to note that the full implementation of this software takes a very short time, from one to two months, while in the case of their competitors it often takes one to two years, said Višić.

Although the digitisation of business processes brings with it numerous benefits, the executive director of APPCRO pointed out that it is still very rudimentary in Croatia, and in a good part of the world. “Companies most often introduce accounting or limited ERP systems that don’t actually cover all their business processes. That’s why they often change them every few years in the hope of finding a system that will cover everything,” he said.

The solution, he says, lies in the Croatian company APPCRO’s own system, which was created as a result of the market’s need for companies to improve existing ERP functionalities with an additional software platform, and introduce additional processes that ERP systems don’t cover. Through thirteen years of operation, APPCRO has acquired a significant list of clients, and currently the majority of their revenue, about 65%, is generated on the domestic market.

Now, their goal is to reverse that ratio. That’s why they established offices in London and the USA and launched a Cloud SaaS model with a monthly subscription, through which they expect a faster growth of clients. Their current plan is to provide server infrastructure through Data Centres in the USA and the UK this year, and to provide it in much more distant countries such as Australia, Asia, Africa and South America next year.

“We’re going to ensure that our platform is available to clients everywhere in the world through our global infrastructure and through our IT partners,” said Višić. Ultimately, this company has really huge plans. Višić reveals that they expect several major investments in a couple of years, and their long-term goal is to be listed on one of the world’s stock exchanges.
